This 100% organic DOCG Sangiovese Chianti Classico is characterized by lovely ruby colors with vibrant reflections. Well-defined aromas, predominantly of fruit, such as cherry and berries, enriched by pleasant spicy notes and hints of aromatic herbs, cloves, and violets on the nose. Well-balanced, medium bodied on the palate with finely ingrained tannins, enlivened by a distinct acidity. Impressive texture and structure with density, and a drinkable finish. . A slight charred oak note follows on at the mid palate. Spiced finish. Pairs well with red meat, pastas, and pizzas.
Tenuta di Renieri is 22 hectares located in the warmest and southernmost of the Chianti Classico villages, Castelnuovo Berardenga. Specifically, it is located in the southern part of the Montalcino territory, in the lands that face Mount Amiata. The vineyards are situated at an altitude of 400 meters above sea level, and the exposure, nearly 360 degrees, ranges from east to northwest. The Sangiovese tends to be fuller and more structured thanks to the mild climate of the area, perfect for the Chianti Classico and Chianti Classico Riserva. Volcanic soils prevail. Limestone with yellow clays, tuff, and stone. Sangiovese is the predominant grape variety for Brunello di Montalcino and Rosso di Montalcino.
Their cellar, spanning over 1000 square meters, is underground to facilitate the movement of grapes by gravity and maintain the optimal temperature required for wine aging. These wines are barrel aged for 12 months.
